A FREE six-session training for caregivers caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s or related dementia will be offered at the Westminster Senior Center. Sessions will be held Monday evenings beginning April 1, 2019 from 10am – noon. The Westminster Senior Center is located at 69 West Main St. in Westminster. The series is open to the public and participants do not need to be residents of Westminster.
Taking care of a person living with Alzheimer’s or related dementia is specialized work. To do this work successfully, caregivers need special skills, knowledge and a positive attitude that helps them to care for themselves
Savvy Caregiver will help you:
Understand the impact dementia on both you and the person you are caring for
Learn the skills you need to manage daily life
Take control and set goals
Strengthen family resources
Feel better about your caregiver role
Take care of you!
